After being shortlisted as a finalist in their category, facing tough competition from across the country, the judges declared The Admiral Rodney the winners of the coveted award.

The success of the award has been put down to the scores of wonderful reviews from pleased brides and grooms, in a year that has seen the hotel reach record numbers of weddings, as well as a full refurbishment of the grounds, public areas and bedrooms.

Hotel manager, Alison Davis, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this accolade as it is a testament to the hard work which has been put in to transforming this traditional 17th Century Coaching Inn to a cosy all-day Hotel, Eatery and Coffee House, as well as a picturesque wedding venue.”

“This year has been an outstanding one for our weddings, which has seen lots of wonderful feedback from many happy, local couples who have tied the knot with us over the past 12 months.”

The Hotel is part of the Boston-based Coaching Inn Group, which also owns and operates the White Hart Hotel in Boston, as well as 12 other venues across the UK

Les Routiers is recognised worldwide as a champion of the best traditional hotels, guesthouses, bed & breakfasts, restaurants, bars, bistros and cafés, after being founded in Paris in 1934.
