Woodhall Spa and District Flower Club presented a cheque for £2,500 to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance last week.
The flower club was awarded the cheque by Enterprise Rent-A-Car (Foundation Fund) as part of a scheme to recognise the work carried out by charitable organisations.
The proposal was put forward in 2014 by Roy Allcock, an employee of Enterprise Rent-A-Car nominating the air ambulance, which is a charity supported by the flower club.
The generous cheque was awarded at the end of last month in recognition of the way Woodhall Spa Flower Club raises money for different local charities in their area each year.
Over the last 10 years, the club has arranged flowers for weddings and parties, in and around Woodhall Spa, Horncastle and Newark.
Many members of the club participate in the events, bringing together a range of expertise, skill and support.
The members all give their labour, travel and time freely.
As a club, Woodhall Spa and District Flower Club is very pleased to support the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
Members would also like to thank Enterprise Rent-A-Car for its generosity.

In last week’s edition of the Horncastle News, (June 17), it was the Woodhall Spa and District Flower Club which won the Silver Gilt at the Chelsea Flower Show, and not Horncastle Flower Club as printed.
We are happy to clarify this point.
