The Lincolnshire Wolds Woodturning Association is going from strength to strength.

The Association meet twice monthly at West Ashby Village Hall and has more than 50 members who travel from as far as Cleethorpes, Gainsborough, Grantham and Boston.

The main club night is on the last Tuesday of each month when a professional woodturner demonstrates new ideas and techniques. The action behind and above the lathe is displayed on two HD TVs and a PA system ensures members do not miss anything.

The Association also hosts ‘hands on’ nights - ideal for beginners - on the second Tuesday of each month, except for in July, August and December.

Annual membership fees are £15, Club nights cost £5 for members or £7 for guest, Hands on nights cost £2. Club meetings are 7-10pm,

There is a club shop so members can purchase various items including wood and project kits.

The annual meeting and a talk by Steve Wright from Elston Sawmill is on January 27.
