Children in Need saw members of the Inner Wheel Club of Woodhall Spa dress up as the Witches of Woodhall.
After charming the public into donating money, they took to their broomsticks and flew over to Coningsby where other club members held a very successful coffee morning.
At their November meeting, members were treated to a fascinating talk about the Lincolnshire dialect by local speaker and yellowbelly Loretta Rivett.
Passionate about preserving and recording the local dialect, Loretta talked about her Lincolnshire childhood and the diverse origins of the language.
Not surprisingly, many dialect words come from Scandinavia and Loretta decided most of the club could be described as ‘frim foak’ or ‘foreigners’.
