Tony Stace was the star performer at Woodhall Spa and District Organ Society’s popular Christmas concert.
He opened with a couple of Sousa Marches and, in his inimitable fashion, soon had the organ rocking with the intensity of his playing.
He also played ‘Meditations’ by Jules Massenet.
The evening was not without drama as there was power cut at the start of the second half of Tony’s performance.
When power was restored, Tony picked up the medley of Christmas music he was playing, as if nothing had happened – a true professional.
The Society open the New Year with a return visit by a young and very accomplished musician, Mark Thompson, from Newcastle.
He will be playing his Yamaha EL90 instrument.
The concert will be held on Tuesday January 21 at St Peter’s Hall, The Broadway, Woodhall Spa (7.30pm).
Visitors are always very welcome.
