The Coningsby and Tattershall Lions recently held a bucket collection for the Lions Nepal Disaster Relief fund in Tattershall Co-op (by kind permission of store manager Ryan and Lincolnshire Co-operative stores).
In addition, the Lions held another collection on Bank Holiday Monday, thanks to the permission from the bowls club at its car boot sale.
Every penny collected over that weekend will go directly to help those in need and in particular to provide safe drinking water in the disaster area.
Donations received came to £375, which the club increased to £500 to send to the disaster area. Lions Clubs have already sent five pallets of water filtration units and two pallets of water purification tablets to Nepal.
