The Family History Group held a very successful meeting in January when Rod Fanthorpe gave a talk on the Titanic, with a local connection.
This turned out to be Rod’s cousin, whose body was recovered from the sea.
A fascinating tale and poignantly relevant - a lad and his girl from Lincolnshire who set off to America on a great adventure.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday February 28, at WI House in Banks Street.
The speaker will be Steve Bramley, with part two of his talk on the Lincolnshire Territorials in The Great War.
Admission is free.
