The St Michael’s flower festival in Coningsby saw the church transformed into a beautiful and spectacular display.
With 26 different organisations, businesses, groups and individuals taking part, £1,500 was raised, which will go to the Church Improvement Fund.
Joan Simpson said: “The displays were magnificent and thanks go to all who helped in so many different ways.”
The weekend started on Friday evening with punch and pate organised by Betty Harvey and her team, superb entertainment from Community Chorus and Bain Valley Hand Bell Ringers. There were many guests including Gp Captain Johnny Stringer, Mrs Stringer and Padre Elliott with Mrs Elliott.
On Saturday and Monday the church received a steady number of visitors all admiring the colourful and artistically arranged flowers. The proceeds will go towards the costs of replacing stolen lead which is now causing water to penetrate.
