Coningsby and Tattershall Lions recently celebrated their 18th Charter anniversary with family, friends, and Lions from across the East Midlands District.

Lion President Anne Simons was delighted to welcome 92 guests to the birthday celebration at Boston West Golf club and gave a brief outline of the club’s activities during the year.

She concluded by presenting Jane with a cheque for £1,250 to her chosen charity Guide Dogs for the Blind. This money had been raised from the Pantomimes performances held in Tattershall and in Mareham Le Fen.

President Anne thanked all the club members for their exemplary service to the local community; she presented Lion Judy with the Tim Barker Memorial trophy for her outstanding commitment to promoting Lions Clubs International Youth activities.

Guests included the Lions District Governor Lion Alan Hall and his wife, Jane; Woodhall Spa Rotarian President Dick Johnson and his wife, Pat; Martin and Gill Alderson from the Fortescue Arms.
