The Horncastle detachment of the Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force lent a helping hand to Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust staff at Snipe Dales.

Eight cadets and two adults got stuck into the various winter jobs at the country park near Horncastle.

After initial briefings, they cleared grass from fields and meadows to allow new growth to flourish in the spring. The grass was raked into piles, ready for mulching.

The cadets also helped remove tree branches which were used to build two new dams. The Cadets were thanked for their sterling work and will return to perform other tasks at the site.
