There was fun for all the family with children’s rides, various stalls and a full programme of entertainment in the Market Place as visitors and residents were given the chance to do a bit of Christmas shopping.
Stefan Urbanowicz of Horncastle’s Festival Committee said: “It was very successful, we had lots of positive reports from a lot of the stall holders and we spoke to a lot of people as they were going round.
“We had visitors come from Lincoln, Louth and Skegness and they all made positive remarks.
“A few people from Lincoln said that they enjoyed it as much as the market in the city.
“We had children’s rides, entertainment in the market place and the atmosphere was very good.”
Stefan added: “The main objective of the Festivals Committee is to keep Horncastle on the map.
“The Christmas market is something that brings the crowds from inside and outside the town and most of the shops in Horncastle opened on Sunday and benefited from that.”
