Woodhall Spa British legion
There was a good turnout at the June meeting of the Woodhall Spa and District branch of the Royal British Legion.
Retired Squadron Leader Andy Marson gave an illustrated talk on the Avro Vulcan, its history and operational development.
A raffle held during the evening raised £44.
The branch will be holding a tombola stall at the 40s weekend in aid of the Poppy Appeal. Any prizes would be gratefully received by any committee member.
The annual poppy service will be held in St Peter’s Church at Stixwould on Sunday, August 14.
All are welcome and refreshments will be available following the service.
