MEMBERS of Woodhall Spa WI were 100 per cent behind the national WI resolution to help save Britain's bees.
The topic was introduced by Helen Burton and Vera Helliwell gave a moving talk on how her own hives have been affected.
A presentation of £100 was made to First Responders, the proceeds of the second successful Village Quiz.
Members were asked to remember former committee stalwart Amy Mills who had died at the age of 104.
Various forthcoming activities were promoted including the Open Gardens, Boston Walk, Visit to Burton Agnes with Horsington WI, a farm visit with barbecue, darts, croquet, and patchwork.
Audrey Horner then gave a very amusing dialect story of Yorkshire pudding with dialect.
Jean Barrows entertained with a story and song from the shows and this was followed by the Haz Beens choir with a rendition of My favourite things with apologies to Julie Andrews.
Competition winners were: 1 Eileen Herrod, 2 Daphne Bloom and 3 Audrey Horner.
The next meeting is on Monday, June 8, at 7.30pm in St Peter's Hall.
The speaker will be Dr Keith Jenkins on Hephzibar didn't like Doctors.
Visitors welcome.
