MORE than £4,000 was made for 21 local good causes by the Woodhall Spa 10K Road Race.

A presentation night is being held at Smarties Bar in the village on Thursday July 17 at 8pm.

Graham Keegan, chairman of the Woodhall Spa 10K Committee, said: "We have had a very successful year with record numbers of competitors coming from all over the country to compete at Woodhall.

"Not only is this good news for our event because it means we are getting a good reputation with athletes across the country; but also, it means that we have raised more money to donate local good causes."

Among those benefiting from funds are Woodhall Spa Cricket Club, St Peter's Church Youth Group, Woodhall Spa LIVES and the Leg Club.
