REV ANN Gurner gave her last service as curate of the Woodhall Spa group of churches on Sunday.

After the well attended service, held at St Peter's Church in Woodhall Spa, there was a farewell lunch.

Ann and her husband Roger are leaving after three years in the parish to look after churches just south east of Newmarket at Cheaveley and Kirtling.

Jo Evison, church group administrator, said: "Ann has worked very hard in the last year with all the churches in Bucknall, Horsington, Langton, Stixwould, Kirkstead and Woodhall Spa.
"Roger was the driving force in making Woodhall Spa the first Fair Trade Village in Lincolnshire and also his wonderful help with anyone with a computer problem.
"We wish them every blessing and in Ann's new post."

It is just a year since Rev Simon Witcombe and his family left the group of churches and interviews will be held soon for new clergy.
