Brett Wales played a fantastic concert when he returned to Woodhall Spa after a four-year break for the District Organ Society’s June concert.
Playing his three manual Wersi Louvre Organ, he treated the audience to a vast array of musical styles.
His medley of Russian music was particularly well received and the highlight of the evening, a beautiful rendering of “The Blue Danube”, practically brought the house down.
He closed his first half with a brilliant version of “Duelling Banjos” which went down very well.
John Bowdler is our artist at the next concert to be given on Tuesday July 15.
He has been one of the resident organists at The Tower Ballroom, Blackpool for the last 26 years or so and has a very bouncy style of playing, which has earned him the nickname “Bouncing Bowdler”.
He can always be relied upon to provide a great evening of entertainment.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Further details from Society chairman, Philip Groves on 01526 353225;.
