Talented local actor, Sam Colley, from Elmhirst Road, Horncastle, has beaten off strong competition to secure two coveted roles in the most eagerly awaited musical visiting Lincoln Theatre Royal.
Sam will play the lead role of the authoritative Mr Darling and the comic press-ganged pirate, Shambles, when ABD’s professional production of “Peter Pan” opens at The Theatre Royal tomorrow (Thursday).
A gifted all round performer, Sam studied at Lincoln College where he gained his Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.
His acting career began at the age of seven in various plays such as “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe” and “Pinocchio”.
He has played a wide spectrum of roles ranging from The Artful Dodger in the musical production of ‘Oliver’, to Mr Bingley in Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’, Paul in ‘A Chorus Line’ at the Drill Hall Lincoln - and various lead roles in Pantomime.
Sam is delighted to be appearing alongside ABD Productions’ professional cast and is enjoying getting to grips with these diverse roles.
He said: “I am very excited to be involved in the production of “Peter Pan”. The whole cast and crew have been fantastic to work with and it has been an invaluable experience.”
