The traditional Lions’ Horncastle town bonfire will once again be held at Thimbleby Hill tomorrow (Wednesday) evening.
It will open at 6pm with the fire being lit at 6.30pm.
“Bonfire food” in the form of hot dogs or burgers and hot drinks will be available.
The event which is firmly established as a popular town event and is a major fundraiser for the Lions. All the money raised will go to Lions charities,
Whilst local projects are always at the forefront, the worldwide network of 1.4m Lions in 203 countries enables funds to be directed to and distributed by local clubs with special emphasis on the eradication measles and curable blindness.
Horncastle Lions President Alan Toon said: “We have a super evening’s entertainment lined up. “We like to think we are serving the community, especially young families, by offering an exciting but safe bonfire experience for less than the price of a box of fireworks”.
