Horncastle Choral Society’s festive concert - In Celebration of Christmas – is to be held on Saturday, December 6 at St Mary’s Church (7.30pm).

Caroline Chadderton, the Society’s newest Associate Musical Director, says final rehearsals are going well, putting the finishing touches to what should be a really enjoyable evening.

The Society is firstly performing Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols and the second half will be a great mix of carols both modern and traditional – from John Rutter to J S Bach.

There will also be an opportunity for the audience to flex their vocal chords to sing a carol or two.

Tickets are £5 each and there will be drinks at the interval.

Tickets are available on the door, or email Caroline at high_writer@hotmail.com.

The choir performs twice a year, in December and May, and plans are already progressing for next May’s concert.

New members are always welcome - tenors and basses especially.
