The award-winning Banovallum Brass Band delighted a capacity audience at an evening of commemorative Music from World War One and Two at Stanhope Hall.
Under the baton of Musical Director Steve Ingham, the evening ended with a rousing “Last Night of the Proms” style medley.
The concert marked the end of a series of events to mark the centenary of WW1, starting with “War Horse” screened by the Stanhope Hall Community Cinema.
It was followed by a two day WW1 commemorative exhibition which was also held at Stanhope Hall and attracted a record crowd.
The Community Cinema shows films at the hall on a regular basis.
It features a HD NEC projector, hi-fi sound and a 14-foot screen.
The next screening will be on October 22 and will feature “Skyfall” which is reputed to be the best James Bond Film ever made.
Doors open at 7pm. The film starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available from “Nice Things”, High St. Horncastle - and also on the door, They are priced at £3.50 & £4.00 respectively.
