This year’s Bardney Gala, on Sunday August 30, is shaping up to be the biggest and best ever, with record numbers of stalls and attractions booked in for day.
The day will kick off at 1pm, and will be opened by 2015’s Miss Lincolnshire Earth Molly-Marie Buckley, with music from father and daughter singing duo TwoSmooth.
Miss Buckley will also be awarding the prizes for the children’s fancy dress and adult cosplay, as well as presiding over the medals for the children’s races.
Bardney Gala committee chairam Carrie Howe said: “It is wonderful for us to have Molly-Marie opening the gala for us this year, when it seems everything is falling in place and we will be having our biggest Gala yet”.
There will be performances from Lincolnshire Ukulele Band, Steppin’ Stones and technical dog act Strictly Canine Heelwork to Music.
And a dog agility competition and the ‘fun dog show’ will take place throughout the afternoon.
There will be funfair rides, Leyo the clown, and bouncy castles for the kids as well as craft, art and produce competitions for adults.
The classic vehicle exhibition always proves popular and this year there will also be a display of stationary engines, which should keep all the machine enthusiasts happy.
The will be a large car boot sale and lots of craft, charity and trade stands, both inside the village hall and outside on the playing field.
The bar will be open and there will be a BBQ and large selection of refreshments available.
