All out war at castle venue this weekend

This weekend sees time move forward 170 years to the time of the English Civil War.

Experience 17th century life as the Royalists attack the Castle.

Immerse yourself in the Civil War, with weapons drills, a living history encampment and a battle re-enactment.

Most Popular

The castle will be open from 11am to 4pm.

There is no charge for the event, but normal admission charges will apply.

Also next week, there is the chance to enjoy some open air theatre, when the acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company present The Canterbury Tales, with just five actors.
