MORE than £200 was raised for village hall funds at Horsington Summer Fete.
After almost 48 hours of constant rain and with just one hour to go before the fete was opened by Woodhall Spa church administrator, Jo Evison, the clouds cleared away the villagers flocked to the ever popular event.
There was plenty of entertainment to keep visitors entertained including tombola, raffle, North Hodges' memory games, horse shoe throwing, face painting and more.
Village hall committee chairman Michael Carter thanked everyone for their support, gave donations, gave raffle prizes or helped in any way.
He concluded by saying it was important to keep alive these traditional village events and was proud that Horsington Village Hall had been the venue for village gatherings for almost 100 years.
