exciting tournament

WOODHALL Spa Tennis Club were blessed with perfect weather on Sunday for their annual Open Mixed Tournament.

Ten couples took part playing a round robin format in two sections. The winners and runners-up from each group then went forward to play in the semi-finals.

Tennis Club).

In the semis, Dan and Sam were convincing winners by 6–1 against Mick and Linda while Lydia and Ant had a much closer encounter against Peter and Ros winning 6–4.

This resulted in a rare all Woodhall final, which proved to be of a high standard and was much enjoyed by all those who had stayed to watch. All four players were at the top of their game with Dan and Sam winning by 6 games to 3.
