MOTORCYCLING: Hicky pleased with final Superbike test

He recorded a position of seventh overall which sets him up nicely for the two races at the Cheshire track at the weekend.

Peter was pleased with his results and said: “I had a mega day at Oulton for the official test on my GBmoto Racing Kawasaki Team Green ZX10R and am really happy with my race pace.”

After taking a win at Silverstone, his second in the British Superbike championship during his career, Hicky is confident he can step up on the podium again this weekend and another win is not out of the question for the 29-year-old who lives near Cadwell Park.

The weekend’s racing begins on Saturday with the Superbikes out on track for two free practice sessions at 10.10am and 2.40pm.

On Sunday, there is a final free practice session at midday for the riders to make their final preparations for qualifying which takes place at 2.05pm.

Monday is race day and the Superbikes have a 15-minute warm-up at 9.30pm ahead of the first 18-lap race at 1.30pm, the results of which will set the grid for race two which is scheduled to start at 4.30pm.

Sunday’s qualifying and Monday’s two races will benefit from live TV coverage from Eurosport 2.
