CROQUET: Seven teams contest trophy match at Woodhall Spa

Woodhall Spa Croquet Club held their latest competition in Jubilee Park last Saturday.

Seven teams of three players played for The Jubilee Park Challenge Trophy. They came from Richmond Park Croquet Club in Gainsborough, Woodhall Spa U3A, Horncastle U3A and Woodhall Spa Croquet Club. The format was a mixture of doubles and singles games, playing 13 hoops.

The winning team were Brenda English, Kathy Keer and Roger Read from Woodhall Spa Croquet Club, who won all six of their games, with 57 hoops won against 21 lost.

Second were Tony Fisher, Richard Bilton and Mike Bilton from Gainsborough with five games won and one lost. Representing Horncastle U3A, Jean and Jim Forgham and Roy Donner were third, also with five wins and one loss.
