BOWLS: Twenty pairs contest Jubilee Park competition

Jubilee Park Bowls Club pairs competition enjoyed a warm day despite the lack of much sunshine.

Twenty players entered which were drawn out and put in pairs. Each pair played four matches of eight ends apiece.

Winners were Keith Revill and Bob Scott, ahead of runners up Tony Tennant and Angie Crampton.

It was a great social event, finished off with some food and tea and coffee.

n East Lindsey Jubilee Park Bowls Singles saw 32 entries.

Played as a round Robin, there were four games of 12 ends. Winner was Robert Stainton from Eastfield Bowls Club, Louth, eight points and 24 shots. Runner-up was Tom Bell (8&10) from Castle Bowls Club, Spalding.

Jubilee Park 44

Another lovely sunny afternoon, a good match all round saw Jubilee Park do very well considering they were a player short. Unfortunately, Ursula Dunn was injured and the team all wished her a speedy recovery.

Stu Little and Peter Brown stepped up to the mark and played a valiant game, losing nineshots to 21. Angie Brown, Joan Herrick and Dave Dobbs went very close to winning, only losing on the last end by three shots, scoring 20 to 23. Jim Brown, Alan Dunn and Bob Scott also did very well, scoring 15 shots to 25.
