Members of the Wolds Table Tennis Club held their winter awards evening at the Admiral Rodney Hotel, Horncastle.
Thirty guests and friends of the Belchford-based club attended with a variety of prizes being handed out for club competitions played in November and December.
Individual winners included Paul Emmerson and Doug Rodwell while the award for most improved player went to Karen Ward.
The prestigious Triples League has just started and runs until the end of May. Five teams will be battling it out in a series of singles and doubles matches to lift what is considered to be the club’s most coveted title.
The club has between 35 and 40 regular players and puts on three sessions every week for players of all standards, ranging from improvers to former county league and ex-youth international players.
The club does not accept complete beginners or current league players.
The emphasis is very much on a great social night out with the added ‘spice’ of a slice of competitive table tennis.
