Success for Woodhall Tennis Club

Woodhall Spa Tennis Club’s teams have been busy in recent weeks.

The Ladies’ Seconds played Bourne and claimed victory with a convincing 8-1 scoreline.

Bridgett Scott and Lorraine Shepherd won all three of their rubbers, as did Penny McQuade and Jenny Caswell.

Wendy Baxter and Mandy Roulston won two of their matches, and lost the other.

The mixed team have played two matches in their league so far, winning both of them.

The first match of the season was against Billinghay.

Bridgett and Robert Scott won all three of their rubbers.

The pairings of Lorraine Shephered with Dan Freeman and Jenny Caswell with Simon Leggate both won two of their matches each for a 7-2 team win.

In the following match, the team played against Heckington and won by an 8-1 margin.

Playing for Woodhall were Simon and Sue Leggate, Ant Hawkins and Wendy Baxter, Paul Dudgeon and Alison Lauder.
