Horncastle and District Indoor Bowling Club will be holding an open day on October 18.

The club are offering newcomers to the sport and lapsed players the chance to get to grips with the sport.

The open day runs from 10am-4pm and is open to people of all ages.

There will also be coaches on hand to offer advice.

“It’s for everyone,” said coach Martin Jenson.

“Bowls is good for people who want to live an active life, but there is also a great social side to the club too.”

Martin is one of four members of the Coronation Walk club who have recently become level one coaches.

Jayne Taplin, Olive Wells and Keith Jackman have also received the accrediation from the Bowls Development Alliance.

It means they will now be able to offer more help and assistance to members at the club.
