Commonwealth Games gold medallists Nekoda Davis and Colin Oates are heading for Horncastle.

The duo will be the star guests at a special open day at Horncastle Judo Club on Saturday September 20.

The event - at the town’s Youth Centre - will feature a series of training sessions, along with a host of other attractions.

It will start at 10am with a session for juniors and novices up to the age of 14.

Advanced juniors will take centre stage between 11.30am and 12.30pm - followed by seniors and advanced players between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Sessions are £15 per person. Spectators are also welcome with a £2 admission charge on the door. The price includes a raffle ticket, to be drawn later in the day.

There will also be a bouncy castle, tombola and barbecue.

It is a major event for the club which is going from strength to strength.

Members have enjoyed a series of excellent performances in recent months, winning a number of titles.

The chance to train alongside established international stars Davis and Oates should prove to be a big attraction.

Details of the day are available from 07940 592454.
