Banovallum Gymnastics Club entered three gymnasts in the boys’ county six piece apparatus championships at Lincoln Gym Club.
The trio enjoyed a terrific competition and returned with 11 medals between them.
Jamie Hall had his best competition to date. He competed on all six pieces.
In the floor, he scored 10.80 and won a silver medal. He added a bronze in the pommel event with a score of 8.40.
There were three more silvers in the rings (9.80), in the vault (10.50) and the parallel bars (9.70).
A score of 7.90 earned him a bronze on the high bar and his all round consistency clinched him first place in his age group (11 years) and a silver in the overall age groups.
In the 12 year age group, Owen Brabbs came home with a bronze for pommels (7.65) and another bronze for his high bar routine, scoring 7.75. He finished fourth in his age group (54.00).
Five-year-old Marty Jackson had to compete against boys two and three years older than him, - because there were no other competitors as young as him.
He finished with a gold medal on parallel bars, scoring 9.25, and came seventh overall.
