The 12th Annual children’s charity golf competition was another overwhelming success, raising a whopping £2,900 for both the St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice and the Lincolnshire Wolds Federation of special schools to help children with special needs.

While on the competitive side, difficult conditions were reflected on the scores as the team of A. Simmons, N. Foster and G. Chester won it for the seniors with a grand total of 69 points.

In the Ladies competition, E. Ballard, J Hoskin and J. Wallis came first, by the score of 54 points, with the team of C. Parker, S. Spring and S. Walker finishing top for the gents.

Students from both St Lawrence School in Horncastle and St Bernard’s in Louth helped out
with on course competition, with others kindly
helping serve refreshments in the half way house.

Captains Steve Owens
and Barbara Vickers presented the prizes
inside a packed club,
before the grand total was announce to an electric atmosphere.
