On Saturday, battling the wind and rain, five Velo-One riders competed at Sleaford Wheelers’ Annual Charity 10 Mile Time Trial in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The popular early event saw an incredible full field of 150 riders start in one minute intervals on the undulating A15 road from Sleaford towards Osbournby.

Making their debut rides for V1 were Antony Gough, David Anderson and Scott Francis.

Antony Gough, a seasoned tester, soon found his early season form finishing 22nd with a time of 24min 16sec.

David and Scott, both new to competitive racing, finished a respectful 81st and 86th with times of 28.16 and 28.56 respectively. An unfortunate puncture in the last miles coupled with some early season rustiness saw Dan Carr finishing 70th with a time of 27.42.

Neil Palmer continued to show great form with his second podium of the season, finishing third with a time of 22.51, a great achievement against a field of strength and depth.
