Members of Woodhall Spa’s Croquet Club met for their annual dinner and presentation of trophies.

Members of Woodhall Spa’s Croquet Club met for their annual dinner and presentation of trophies.

Chairman Bob Potter thanked all members who had played in several league matches maintaining the club’s position in league one.

The club’s annual weekend at Lincoln Castle in May was attended by teams from the East Midlands Federation and the winners were Long Eaton.

In June, a Jubilee invitation day was held, which several clubs attended - the winners were Branston U3A.

Roy Donner qualified for the All England Tournament but was unable to attend.

Pauline Donner, who was the reserve, went to the first round in Nottingham.

Bob presented trophies to:

Pauline Donner - Golf Croquet Tournament

Pauline Donner and Peter Robinson (Horncastle U3A) - Open Invitation Golf Tournament

Barry Darling - Most Improved Player.

Bob finished by telling the club that they will be staying in Jubilee Park and plans are being made to build a pavilion.

Members are reminded that the AGM is on February 8, 2014 at Abbey Lodge 10am for 10.30am.
