Horncastle Angling Club Juniors fished for the A Thompson trophy last week, William Chamberlain landing first place with a catch of 6lb and 6oz.

Harry Peal sealed second with a catch of 5lb 10oz and Connor Pinkett third with 5lb 2oz ahead of Rosie Gowshall in fourth.

Friday saw the start of the Pit Shield with Bob Biester sealing top spot with a catch of 13lb, ahead of Darren Gowshall in second with 12lb and Matthew Hassall in third with 6lb.

On Sunday, the seniors fished for the Coronation Trophy. This time Matthew Hassall was victorious landing 52lb 14oz, second was Kev Soulby with a catch of 40lb 14oz, third was Karl Summers with a catch of 30lb and fourth was Frank Clark with a catch of 7lb 10oz.
