Kimsey gets GB call-up

WOODHALL Spa golfer Nathan Kimsey has had his place in the Great Britain and Ireland team confirmed by selectors.

Kimsey was in the running for a call-up after producing some outstanding displays on his debut for the full England side in the Home International championship last week in Scotland.

Now, he has been named in a nine-strong GB and Ireland squad for their St Andrews Trophy clash against Europe at the end of the month.

Kimsey (19) is rated as one of England’s top prospects and is following in the footsteps of the likes of Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Padraig Harrington who all played for GB and Ireland during their amateur careers.
