Classy Clyburn clinches Open place

WOODHALL Spa’s amateur ace Holly Clyburn will line up alongside the world’s top professional stars in the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Royal Liverpool later this week.

Clyburn was one of six English amateurs who came through the final stages of qualifying in Cheshire.

She fired a two-over-par 74 at Caldy, Cheshire, to clinch one of the places in the renowned British Open which starts on Thursday.

Clyburn is one of six leading English amateurs who qualified and the list includes her Curtis Cup teammates Bronte Law and Charley Hull.
