For the second week in a row Coningsby Reserves were at home, but they were unable to build on last week’s win as they lost 2-0 to Holbeach Bank.

The visitors took command from the opening kick-off and scored their first goal after 10 minutes from a free kick.

The goal spurred Coningsby to life and created a number of scoring opportunities which they were unable to capitalise on.

Just before half-term Coningsby conceded a penalty which was emphatically put away to give the visitors a 2-0 lead going into the break.

Coningsby spurned another chance in the second half as Danny Cottingham missed a penalty and Jamie Todd rattled the post.

Holbeach managed to hold on to their lead and Coningsby Reserves remain in 10th place in the league.

They are at home again this weekend as they welcome second-place Heckington Millers who could go top of the league with a win.
