Horncastle-based Balcan Lighting Supplies is the new sponsor of the Lincolnshire Football League.

The league, which features teams from across Lincolnshire, will now be called the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire Football League after the company agreed to sponsor it for the next three seasons.

Balcan managing director Julian Rinfret said, “I’ve always had a keen interest in local football as a regular spectator and during my time as chairman at Horncastle Town FC, so I am delighted that Balcan can help support it. We have some great teams in this league that is the next level up from district football and gives players the chance to play at stadiums and grounds around Lincolnshire. It is full of dedicated players who show commitment and determination and I’m looking forward to seeing them in action again next season.”

The Saturday League has 12 teams from across the county and has just ended its 65th season with a closely-fought battle between teams for the top spot in the division.

Lincs League secretary Paul Birkitt said, “We rely on the support of sponsors to enable the league to continue at the high level it does and we’re thrilled to be welcoming Balcan Lighting Supplies as our new sponsors. We’re looking forward to an exciting and successful 66th season and having Balcan behind us.”
