There’s no denying it - Horncastle Town certainly appeal to the fans.
Last season the club were the Lincolnshire League’s best supported side - for the second year running.
An average of 122 spectators watched the club’s home games last season, up on the average of 84 the previous campaign.
The largest crowd was for the midweek clash against eventual champions Hykeham Town, in which the attendance was given as 214.
The previous season’s highes attendance was 160.
Horncastle have also recently anounced a number of new sponsorship deals.
Polypipe have agreed to supply the club with a brand new senior away kit, which will see the team in a smart new Jako royal blue.
The newly formed under eights will also have their new strip sponsored by Polypipe while the under 10s will get a new set of shirts bearing the Polypipe logo.
The club have also announced a series of ball sponsors.
Andrew Shinn of Shinn Developments Ltd has agreed to become the club’s senior match ball sponsor. The deal will see the first team, reserves and development squad handed three new match balls each.
Toby Clowes Tyres will sponsor 10 size three junior match balls as part of a two-year deal to provide match balls for the under eights and under nines.
Ex-player Scott Maplethorpe, of JH and W Skinns, of Walcott, has agreed to provide 10 size four match balls for the under 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s and 14s. Bem Smith, another former player, of Plan4 UK, has agreed to sponsor the senior team’s training footballs.
The firm has committed to buy 20 balls for the club, which will be used by the three senior teams in pre-season and in the 2015-16 campaign.
Hayley Rennie of Bullring Barbers has agreed to sponsor the clubs under 13s rain jackets and Michael Clark of Leisure Leagues Horncastle has agreed to sponsor the nder 15s and 16s teams match balls for the following two seasons.
Town are still seeking a sponsors for other sections, with prices set at £90.
