Wragby FC’s promotion hopes are hanging by a thread in Division One of the Sills and Betteridge Sunday League after a 2-2 draw against FVA Jerusalem.

Wragby were desperate for a win to close the gap on leaders Hykeham but they had to settle for a point.

The result leaves Wragby in fifth place in the table on 28 points, seven points behind Hykeham who also have a couple of games in hand.

In Division Two, long-time leaders Woodhall Spa United surrendered top spot to rivals Rustons United last Sunday.

While Woodhall were without a fixture, Rustons won 3-1 at Ploughboy FC to take over as leaders on goal difference.

Both Woodhall and Rustons have 38 points, but the latter club have two games in hand (17-19). Third placed Travellers have 37 points from 17 games

In Division Three, Horncastle based AFC Harpars saw their lead at the top cut to four points by Trent Valley.

The two sides meet in a possible title decider at Horncastle Playing Fields this Sunday (ko: 10.45am).

Harpars have 41 points from 17 games and Trent Valley 37 from 14.
