Woodhall Spa United are just 90 minutes away from an appearance in of one of the Boston and District League’s top cup competitions.

United travel to Benington tomorrow (Saturday) in the semi finals of the SHS Allium Fishtoft Cup.

The formbook suggests Benington will start as favourites as they are currently fourth in the Premier Division table.

However, United - in next to bottom place in the top flight - have a proud record in cup football.

The winners will meet either Freiston or Wyberton Reserves in the final.

The pick of the league action tomorrow is a top v bottom clash in the Premier Division when Mareham United, still looking for their first point of the season, entertain leaders Spilsby Town.

It could be a difficult day for Mareham who leaked seven goals at Pointon last Saturday and have now conceded 126 in 15 games - and found the back of the net just nine times themselves.

In Division One, Coningsby will be aiming to build on last week’s excellent cup win when they travel to bottom club Pointon Reserves.

The Division Two programme sees Coningsby Reserves entertain Kirton Town Reserves while Tetford visit Westside Rangers.

Tetford’s Reserves are also in action in Division Three with a home game against FC Boston.
