Woodhall Spa United were knocked out of the Challenge Cup by league rivals Fosdyke as they were soundly beaten 4-1 at home.

The two sides are currently level on points in the Boston Taylors Service Garages Division One but Spa came up short against their Division One opponents.

Spa made it through to the quarter finals after beating Wainfleet United in November but couldn’t set up a semi-final date as they crashed out at Abbey Lane.

In Division Two Coningsby Reserves were beaten by 2-1 league leaders Friskney as they tightened their grip on top spot in the league.

Coningsby could have moved up to eighth in the table but faced a tough game against a side that hasn’t tasted defeat all season.

In the Premier Division Mareham United return to action this weekend against Pointon and both Coningsby and Woodhall Spa will be playing in their Division One fixtures against Wainfleet United and Rippingale & Folkingham respectively.

Coningsby Reserves travel to Nelson in Division Two and AFC Tetford will take on Sutterton Reserves in Division Three.
