Horncastle Town’s Development squad will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow (Sunday) when they entertain Claytons Athlettic at The Wong (ko: 10.45am).

Town slipped to fifth place in the Division Five table after a controversial defeat last Sunday at the University of Lincoln Law Society.

Town are still fuming after they had a vital ‘goal’ struck off in the second half of a 3-2 defeat after their opponents claimed the ball had gone through the side netting.

Manager Mark Simmons is calling on his players to dig deep against a notoriously physical Claytons side.

Claytons will go into the game six points clear of Town although they have played two more games.

In other league games tomorrow, Woodhall Spa will be hoping Jack Wright can hit the goal trail again when they travel to FVA Jerusalem in a Division One fixture.

Wright found the back of the net twice against Newton United last Sunday but the only problem was the visitors scored seven themselves.

That result left Woodhall next-to-bottom in the table, two places below local rivals Wragby who don’t have a game tomorrow.

Horncastle-based AFC Harpars will be in Division Two action at Hykeham Memorial while Bardney face a clash at Welton in the preliminary round of the Kelly Read Cup.

Bardney’s form has really picked up recently and they secured an impressive 1-1 draw at Division Four leaders Red Lion Dunston last week.
