What a different a week makes.
That’s the story behind a remarkable transformation in Horncastle Town’s fortunes in the Sills and Betteridge Premier Division.
Just seven days after losing 4-1 at home to Sleaford Town Reserves, Town produced a much improved performance to beat the same opposition 2-1 on their own ground.
Ollie Johnson was on target from the penalty spot while league representative star Tony Edwards slotted home the winner.
It was Town’s first victory in the league since October but still means they are anchored in the bottom four of the table.
However, boss Paul Johnson will be hoping his side can build on the win when they visit Hykeham Town this Saturday (ko: 2pm).
The reserves return to league action this Saturday when they entertain Ruston Sports at The Wong (2pm).
Town will go into the clash full of confidence after beating rivals Retford 3-2 last weekend in the quarter finals of the cup.
