Horncastle Town will check on the availability of several key players before finalising plans for their Sills and Betteridge League Premier Division clash at Cleethorpes Town tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 3pm.
Midfielder Olly Johnson was the latest addition to the club’s casualty list when he was injured in last Saturday’s home defeat against leaders Hykeham Town.
Defender Dave Marshall and striker Danny Bent also missed that game, along with Steve Lovett who ran the London Marathon last Sunday for charity.
Town will be keen for all three points tomorrow as a win would lift them above Cleethorpes in the table.
Going into the game, Cleethorpes have 23 points from 22 games and Horncastle 21 from 22.
Town, who still have a cup final appearance to look forward to, will be hoping Tony Edwards and Michael Harness can supply the goals while keeper Will Wood will be aiming to maintain his fine form.
Town’s reserves take centre stage at The Wong tomorrow (Saturday) when they round off their Lincoln Saturday League programme against fellow strugglers Middle Rasen.
Player manager Jamie Lamming will be aiming for a win which would ease his side clear of bottom club Saxilby Athletic.
