Horncastle Town will be hoping leading scorer Michael Harness can hit the goal trial again when they visit Skegness Town tomorrow (Saturday) in the group stages of the Supplementary Cup.

The in-form striker bagged two goals in Town’s win against Benington last Saturday in the County Junior Cup to take his tally to the campaign to 11 from ten starts.

Harness and his teammates will certainly have to be at their best tomorrow as they face one of their toughest tests of the campaign.

Town and defending champions Skegness currently occupy the top two places in the Sills and Betteridge League.

However, Skengess have already beaten Town twice this season - once in the league and once in the Supplementary Cup at The Wong.

Town need a victory tomorrow to stand any chance of going through from the group stages of the competition.

Boss Paul Johnson has still to finalise his squad but will be hoping Mickey Stones, Chris Johnson and Nathan Rawdon could all be available.

The trio missed the Benington game as Town struggled to see off their Boston League opponents 4-3 in a thrilling clash.

Meanwhile, there is top action at The Wong tomorrow when Town’s reserves entertain Blues Club in the WJ Harrison League (ko: 2.15)

Town will be looking for three points to keep the pressure on leaders RM Imp in the battle for the title.

Town are still unbeaten in the league this season and Luke Blondel will be aiming to maintain his red-hot scoring streak.

*Town’s Development Squad are in action on Sunday morning and face an away tie at The Ivy Anglians in the second round of the Fred Quibell Junior Cup.

Several of Town’s junior sides are also in action. Full details of fixtures and kick off times are available on the club’s website.
