Heckington U10s 0-13 Horncastle U10s
Horncastle Under 10s got back to league action in emphatic style against a Heckington side playing its first league match.
Horncastle dominated the early stages to put the win quickly beyond doubt.
The scoring opened inside 30 seconds of kick off when Ollie Bradley skipped through Heckington’s defence for the ‘keeper to save his shot, before a Heckington defender side footed the ball into his own net.
A minute later Lewis Janney weaved his way through the middle of the Heckington defence and calmly slotted the ball to the side of the ‘keeper.
A minute later Horncastle broke down the right and a cross came in to Lucas Walters on the far post, who swept the ball just inside the post to make it 3-0 in three minutes.
On nine minutes Horncastle again broke down the right and crossed close to the ‘keeper, who under a challenge spilled it straight to Ollie who passed the ball into an empty net.
In the 12th minute Horncastle were applying more pressure and won several corners on the left hand side. Eventually the ball came back to Fraser Pemberton wide on the left who, seeing the ‘keeper off his line, curled the ball high into the net.
In the 14th minute Lewis spread the ball wide to Charlie Wilkinson who powered forward and had his shot parried straight to Lucas, who slotted home to grab his second.

On 22 minutes Fraser slid a great through ball to Owen who cut inside and struck a solid shot low into the bottom corner.
On 28 minutes the ball was played into the edge of the box to Lewis who shot first time, arguably when he should have taken a touch, but saw his shot squirm under the ‘keeper, between his legs, and in.
Just before half time there was time for Horncastle’s ninth when Lewis struck a free kick which rebounded off the post and back out to Owen six-yards out for him to pass into the net.
At half time Horncastle made two more changes bring Charlie and Ollie back on for Louis Boddy and Lucas Walters, also bringing Sam Baldock out of goal and putting him up front.
Two minutes into the half Sam was sent through on goal and calmly slotted past the ‘keeper.
A minute later Ollie broke free, pushing the ball one side of the defender, and running the other side to latch on to his own ball and shoot just inside the near post.
Two minutes later the ball was crossed in from the right and rebounded out to Lewis who struck the ball home for his hat-trick.
On 38 minutes Horncastle scored their final goal when a corner set off a goalmouth scramble that ended with Sam firing the ball into the goal.
