Horncastle Town will check on the fitness of leading scorer Tony Edwards ahead of their Sills and Betteridge League Premier Division clash at Nettleham tomorrow (Saturday), kick off 3pm.
Edwards missed the 2-1 win against Lincoln United Reserves last Saturday after picking up an injury in training.
Manager Paul Johnson turned to Michael Harness and Gareth Melia as his main strike force and Harness duly obliged with a goal.
Edwards, though, would be a boost to Town as they look for back-to-back wins in the league after an inconsistent campaign.
Keeper William Wood should be available again while Ollie Johnson will be pushing for a starting place after a successful comeback last Saturday following an injury,
Town will go into the clash as favourites with Nettleham rooted to the foot of the table after just three wins from 22 games.
However, Town will have to be wary as Nettleham produced a much improved performance in their last game, despite going down 2-0 at Ruston Sports.
With the first team in away action, the spotlight at The Wong will be on Town’s Reserves who entertain FC Monos in a WJ Harrison Printers League game.
Town need the points to pull clear of bottom club Saxilby Athletic who visit title chasing Ruston tomorrow.
Monos are just one place ahead of Town in the table and will be looking their wounds after a seven goal mauling at Fulbeck United last Saturday.
